Dan Aburto is a Senior Associate at MM Law and practices exclusively in family and divorce law. With over 20 years of experience in family law, Dan is known for his keen legal acumen and commitment to delivering exceptional results for clients in all areas of family law.


After obtaining his Law Degree from the University of Alberta in 2002, Dan articled with a full-service law firm where he worked in the areas of divorce and family law, civil litigation, estate litigation and criminal law. He was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in 2003.


Dan has successfully represented individuals in complex legal matters, including parenting, child support, spousal support, and property division. Dan’s strong analytical skills, combined with a deep understanding of family law, has earned him a reputation for crafting innovative solutions to challenging legal issues.


Dan has extensive trial work experience. He has successfully conducted trials at the Alberta Court of Justice and the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta. Dan has vast experience in dealing with high conflict parenting cases. In addition to his trial work, Dan has successfully assisted clients in private mediation, arbitration as well as Alternate Dispute Resolution programs in Court.
