Miguel Mejia, LL.B.

Miguel is one of the founding partners of MM Law and practices exclusively in family and divorce law. As the Managing Partner at MM Law, Miguel brings nearly two decades of experience in family law. He has worked extensively on complex family-related matters and represents clients with their post separation issues which include, but are not limited to, divorce, parenting, child support, spousal support, and property division.

 

After obtaining his LL.B from the University of Saskatchewan in 2007, Miguel completed his articles at the boutique family law firms of Salmon & Company and Squire Law. He was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in 2008.

 

Known for a compassionate yet strategic approach, Miguel has built a reputation for fiercely advocating for his clients with grit, professionalism, and dedication. With a deep commitment to fostering strong client relationships, Miguel ensures that every client feels heard, valued, and supported throughout their legal journey.

 

Miguel leads a team of skilled lawyers, offering both legal expertise and personalized solutions tailored to each client’s unique needs. With a focus on resolving disputes through negotiation and mediation or mediation/arbitration whenever possible, Miguel is also an experienced litigator, prepared to advocate for clients in court when necessary. He has significant litigation experience in the Alberta Court of Justice and the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta.
